By Thandi Mathebula
Blessing Mabunda (31) Founding CEO of Kuvoninga Media Pty Ltd has revealed that he will re-launch Phalaborwa View and Malamulele View in May 2021 as part of celebrating his 10 years of experience in the media industry.
“I want to make a difference in the business. Limpopo has many Community based publications owned by white firms and very few owned by black firms and generally don’t even last a year.
“Giyani View was launched four years ago and in terms of traffic on the social networks it did exceptionally Well. We are at the top of the list on Facebook and Twitter and I thank the fans for their support.
“My goal is to tell incredible stories in our communities, and I am proud to say that since the creation of Giyani View, 90% of the news published has focused on villages.
“It is my sincere desire to investigate and follow all leads, but due to our lack of resources and enough staff members, the task is somewhat difficult”, added Mabunda.
Mabunda also explained that it is not that easy to run this type of business. “I’m always worried about journalists coming in and out because I don’t have the money to pay them.
“I hope one day I will get a big contract that will allow me to pay and employ more reporters. My version of this project requires many reporters to succeed.
“Two journalists are unable to survive the pressure in the news room. I should strengthen the team, and to do that, we need advertisers to sign contracts with us”.
Giyani View offers online and print packages for classified advertisers tailored to suit any needs.
