SUBEB Chairman Warns Teachers’ against Giving Bribe

 

– promises prompt entitlements payment

 

The Executive Chairman of Akwa Ibom State Universal Basic Education Board, (SUBEB), Obong Paul Ekpo has warned Teachers under the employ of the Board against giving bribe to facilitate their collection of confirmation of appointment letters.

 

Mr Paul Ekpo admonished batch 2017/2018 Teachers who were at the Board’s premises, Idongesit Nkanga’s Secretariat Complex to receive their confirmation of appointment letter on Monday, 26th April, 2021.

He advised them to report to his office, any unscrupulous element who thinks and feels that he or she can make his or her dough off the unsuspecting teachers.

 

The SUBEB Boss further pledged to ensure that the teachers’ salaries and other entitlements are paid on time, and when due. While he urged them to always be on their duty post at the right time and follow their schemes of work.

 

Ekpo promised to send their appointment letters to their various local area offices to ease their collections and take off their risks of commuting to the headquarters and prayed God to grant them journey mercies to their respective homes.
