MORE REVELATIONS! Uduak Akpan: Lady leaks private chats with Kufre Effiong | SEE CHAT
A civil servant in the Niger Delta Ministry Mr Kufre Effiong has insisted his hands are clean in the murder of Miss Iniubong Umoren.
According to a private conversation he had with one lady, identified on Twitter as @Roselin48468006, Effiong who is a cousin to the prime suspect in the murder – Mr Uduak Frank Akpan – said in the chats that if the two weren’t related he wouldn’t “be in this mess or social media trial”.
The lady who leaked the chats into public space claimed that Mr Effiong said he contacted her on Facebook owing to her strong reaction to the matter.
She said she didn’t feel safe hence her decision to make the conversations public.
According to the screenshots, Mr Effiong asked to be linked to journalist David Hundeyin, who is still standing his ground that the civil servant is complicit in the murder of the 26-old-old job seeker.
David had done an investigation into the matter. He fingered Mr Effiong, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Senator Godswill Akpabio and his wife Mrs Ekaette Akpabio, saying they were working in concert to carry out illegal activities.
However, apart from dismissing the allegations, both Mr Effiong and the minister have denied ever meeting each other.
Also, all three have denied any involvement in the case, with the Akpabios threathening a lawasuit against the journalist.
Meanwhile, yesterday Uduak Akpan was paraded in Uyo, where he confessed to killing Iniubong.
